Update 1- Getting Started

Hello people and welcome to my Random Legacy Challenge, The Everlasting Spark!

This is my founder, the gorgeous Liana Spark.
Funny story, I decided about the last name Spark a bit of time ago, in the first time I tried to do the challenge in the Sims 4 but gave up, and them it stayed through a bunch of unsuccessful families, until I found the perfect family (aka the one I wasn't bored with). So I created my founder (well actually since I suck at Create A Sim I downloaded her and did a lot of changes) and I called her Liana because I thought that the name really suites her, and then I thought: "wait... Liana Spark... Liana Stark..." But it just makes it better because Game of Thrones makes everything better.

Anyway, Liana is outgoing, self assured and perfectionist. Her life dream is to become a mixologyst and she won't let anything stand in her way.

And now to meet her husband, Steven. He is romantic, creative and childish. His dream is to be friend of the world, which sounds kind of ambitious honestly, but he'll probably get there at some point. In the meantime he plans to play the guitar at public places for tips. That's the life: playing music, hanging out at nice places and getting money, without the responsibly of an actual job.

Liana and Steven did everything really fast. They fell in love fast, got married fast, moved in together... All of that when they're just at the beginning of their lives! But their love is strong and they know they will beat every challenge together.

By the way, my first generation rolls (I don't want people who want to be be surprised to be spoiled), together with a link to the sims I used as a base for Liana and Steven, can be found in the legacy information page.

The couple's first challenge was to find a place to live. They chose one of the regular houses in Oasis Springs (close to the bar). It's small and pretty dull but they'll make it their home.

First step of making it their home is adding a few essentials, starting with a guitar for Steven and a bar for Liana. Our girl did her first steps in the culinary career. The job requirements are making 3 meals/drinks, and she started by making drinks for her and her husband. They were delicious.

Another addition was the computer. And with it came the naked gnome and a super hero action figure. Since I lack creativity I called him Captain Hero. If you have a better name you can tell me in the comments.

As if they didn't drink enough, Liana and Steven decided to celebrate the beginning of their lives in Oasis Springs with going to the bar. They met some great people there, including Morti Goth and a guy named Zachariah Brady. They also drank, danced, drank again and had a great time. When they returned home things got sort of hot and they truly celebrated, if you know what I mean.

The morning after wasn't very easy for Liana when she rushed to the toilet and interrupted her showering husband because of her nausea. Yep, she's pregnant.

She told the exciting news to her husband. For some reason he thought it was funny.

Liana finally got her first promotion! But as the famous proverb goes, cooking never rests, and she continued practicing on drink making, while letting her husband drink all of them. I know it's just juice, but better be safe than sorry!

As you can also see, she entered the second trimester of her pregnancy, and with that big tummy she looked so uncomfortable with that tank top and shorts that I felt sorry for her and changed it to a nice sweater and some jeans. She still rocks her outfit though.

Third trimester! Look at how big that belly is! In the background of the picture you can see a new microwave and a coffee machine. Liana cooks almost every day so they don't really need that microwave, and the coffee is bad and makes them energized when they need to be inspired, but well, having them doesn't hurt, right?

They also redecorated the bedroom so there'll be space for the crib. It's yellow because they don't believe in shitty gender stereotypes.

I also added a couple of plumbob lights. I soon discovered that the sims can only have a buff from the lights if they are in the room where those lights are, and what really can they do in the bedroom that requires confidence and inspiration (except for... You know...)? But I still should get at least something from buying all those Sims 3 expansion packs, and they look good, so I decided to keep them. I'm not so sure the yellow light was a good idea though,  I already knew when I put it there that I'll keep thinking it's the baby's plumbob and that it has low needs...

I also bought a yellow dinosaur doll (after I took the picture), this time for the baby and not for
Steven. Again- suggestions how to call it?

Liana had a tough day at work, so naturally the first thing she did after she returned home was to run to the computer. She got surprisingly good at video gaming. I've never thought that she would be the gamer in the family.

By the way, Steve got really good with his guitar. And after a couple of times I tried to find how to make him play for tips, I finally understood that he can get tips from just playing songs, he just sucked so he didn't. In the few times he went to public places he earned almost nothing compared to his wife, but I guess it depends on finding the real hotspots where all of the sims are.

When Liana's pregnancy progressed, she decided it would be a good time to take a family leave day from her job and get some rest before the probably close birth. She is usually working at night, so they took advantage of this rare day off and invited their friend Zachariah for diner. Liana made fish tacos and some drinks and Steven was responsible for the entertainment, so overall it was a nice evening. Of course Liana had to withdraw early because she needed to sleep. And to pee. Because yeah, super pregnant.

When Zachariah left Steven went to finish his own nightly business, but than literally everything he touched broke. The toilette, the sink, the sink in the kitchen... And the poor guy had to repair it all. Look at his poor face! The positive side is that he got really good at the handiness skill.

It turned out that it was good that Liana left early and got some sleep, because at the middle of the night she woke up to start the labor! Naturally she went back to sleep. But no, really, wouldn't it be great if women could sleep through their contractions? So anyway, three hours later Steven remembered to wake up and freaked out next to his sleeping wife.

Eventually Liana did wake up and gave birth to a healthy baby boy called Liam (I was in a Once Upon A Time mood).

My succession laws are: Equality, Traditional, First Born and Tolerant.
What it means is that little Liam is the heir of my second generation! By the way, the second generation rolls are in Legacy Information too.
So anyway, welcome to the world Liam!

    1. Oh wow thank you!!! I'm so glad you're enjoying this!

The next update is coming by the way, it's just taking a lot of time because I'm really busy lately and I don't have time to play The Sims... But I didn't give up I'll continue working on it as soon as I can.
